I know you can right-click and select a new tool but that's so annoying as it's just another thing I have to pick up my mouse and do more unnecessary clicks to do. The note separation tool is now hidden under another "mode" so I have to keep clicking back and forth to do a simple note separation task and moving the screen along. It's incredibly frustrating to be picking up my mouse and clicking a very small button or dragging a really small scroll bar to get to where I want to go, it's like this program hasn't evolved it's UX since 1980. Pressing spacebar to play starts the song from the playhead in Studio one and not the damn playhead in Melodyne like it used to. You scroll and have no idea where you are. It's no longer precise and it's awful.Īlso, the zooming in/out and scrolling functions in Melodyne have always been terrible in my opinion, and now it's somehow worse too. They took away manual pitch drift and manual pitch modulation tools, and somehow the detection of algorithms and pitch centers is worse than before. I was so excited to upgrade to studio one 5 with Melodyne 5 but was wildly disappointed and frustrated to find a bunch of features in the previous version of Melodyne I had was suddenly gone and pushed under a paywall to upgrade to the more pro version of melodyne- after I'd just paid for studio one 5. I'm an avid studio one user and for the longest time, I had studio one 4 integrated with Melodyne 4, or whatever version was before this one.
